Canon Supply Recycling Programs
Laser Consumable Return Program
In 1990, Canon became the first company to collect and recycle used copier toner cartridges. With the cooperation of our customers, Canon has collected more than 378,000 tons around the world.
Unlike Canon’s all-in-one cartridges, toner containers are made mainly of plastic material making them suitable for local recycling and local energy recovery in many areas of the country. When local recycling is utilized, the environmental impact associated with the transportation of containers is reduced.
If local recycling or energy recovery is not available in your area, Canon asks that customers in Alaska contact 1-800-OK-CANON for return recycling information.
Large-Format Ink Cartridge Collection Program
To contribute to the goal of zero landfill waste, Canon is introducing a collection and recycling program for Canon large-format ink cartridges. These cartridges are made mainly of plastic material making local recycling and local energy recovery possible. When local recycling is utilized, environmental impacts associated with the transportation of cartridges are reduced.
